Well that took a while...but I managed to do it. Some were really
painful to cut, and as you said, the list will change a lot over
time. Though I think that it pretty much represents my "favorite"
Bruce songs, so to speak - not necessarily his best work (I know
people will take issue with me including Sunny Day), but these are all
songs that, if I could only have 30, I would want:

1) Born to Run (Born to Run)
2) Thunder Road (Born to Run)
3) Jungleland (Born to Run)
4) Lonesome Day (The Rising)
5) For You (Greetings)
6) Badlands (Darkness)
7) Incident on 57th Street (Shuffle)
8) Land of Hope and Dreams (LINYC)
9) No Surrender (Born in the USA)
10) Long Walk Home (Magic)

11) Spirit in the Night (Greetings)
12) Rosalita (Come Out Tonight) [Shuffle]
13) Tenth Avenue Freeze-Out (Born to Run)
14) Waitin' on a Sunny Day (The Rising)
15) She's the One (Born to Run)
16) Racing in the Street (Darkness)
17) Lost in the Flood (Greetings)
18) The E Street Shuffle (Shuffle)
19) Ramrod (The River)
20) Growin' Up (Greetings)

21) Backstreets (Born to Run)
22) Point Blank (The River)
23) Candy's Room (Darkness)
24) It's Hard to be a Saint in the City (Greetings)
25) Thundercrack (Tracks)
26) Back in Your Arms (Tracks)
27) Kitty's Back (Shuffle)
28) None But the Brave (Essentials 3)
29) Frankie (Tracks)
30) Cover Me (Born in the USA)

Album totals:
Born to Run - 6
Greetings - 5
Shuffle - 4
Darkness/Tracks - 3
River/USA/Rising - 2
Magic/Essentials 3/LINYC - 1

There are certain songs on your list, that are only available in
studio version... or sound better in studio version... but for the
most part, every song you listed are much better played live.  For
example...  Spirit in the the night and Candys Room,  I could see how
someone would have loved the studio versions of these songs when they
first came out,  but after hearing the live versions, I can't go back
to the studio.   Live is so much better.

Generally, hearing a song live makes me appreciate the intricacies of
the studio version much more. But yeah, I probably did bias my
selections based on live cuts a lot more than I should've. Ah well
=) .
