That's a good question actually and one I was thinking about earlier
today. How many folks here vote the same way their parents did? My
parents were a mixed bag... my dad never told and my mom did. I know
they she voted over Kennedy and I know that was my mom's last Republican
vote. I am fairly sure my dad voted Democrat although he would never
admit to either (" That's why it's a secret ballot" was what he said). I
have a sister( age 68) that is left of center and a sister who is right
(age 64) of center. My voting record is odd ( lots of third party ...but
no republican's ever) but I was living in San Francisco for many years
where every extreme gets more extreme... My kids are both voting for
Obama and this is their first presidential vote and they are psyched and
excited. We have always tried to play devil's advocate with them but our
lawn sign pretty much gives away where our vote is going <g>.
