Re: What's funny, in a sad way

<<Ya know, you all are laughing, slapping each other on the backs,
virtual high fiving each other over the Palin selection.

Do you understand how g-d foolish you will look if somehow McCain-
Palin wins?>>

Well, I think if that happens we;'re going to so severly fucked in
pretty much every aspect of our lives that how we look to the
republicans will be a very low concern.

What's more striking in your post is the implied delusion that
happened with Bush too: the mistaken belief that victory in the
election actually and neccessarily meant he was the best man for the
job. That the populist choice, or actually the electoral choice,
somehow meant he was a better president. That the system decides
quility, wqhen in fact it inly decides quantity of votes, and it
apparently hasnt gotten that part down pat yet.

The oscars winner's usually arent the best movies of the year either.

But I have not counted out McCain/Palin by along shot. A tremendous
sectionof the voting pulbic in this country have shown piss poor
judgement at choosing leaders, but there' not yet any evidence that
they'll make better choices this time.

The woman comes in on NRA rails because the right to bear arms goes
back to the constitution. But then she also wants to teach
creationism in public schools. We'll let';s see....the country was
founded on the separation bewteen church and state...so why isn't the
teaching of creationism viewed as big an attack inb teh constitution
than an anti gun stance would be?

ANd aside from that, I mean come on. Ctreationism? IN school? As a
possible explanation for the existence of the world and HUmaities
presen here. Show me someone who believe h earth was created in six
days by a beneveolnet bearded sky-sitter and I wiill show you someone
with an extremely distored percption. I might evemn dpending onthne
actual person, use the word Stupid for someone who believes that. Now
assume that believer wants it taught ot you kids and mine in public
school.

1) *** no, I'd riot if it happened in my school district. WHy not
just let doctors explore all the options too, inclduing bleeding and
leeches.

and bestly

2) Creationism is a religious specifically christian myth.
Now.....church goes here, and state? State goes overe there. NOte
the distance betwen them That's one of the big things we're about
here in America. It's one of the main reasons why we ran away form
british rule.

So to review

Church here (ANY CHURCH)

State over there.

We can go over this as many times as you need to get it, becuase while
it might not be ON the test, it might instead BE the fucking test.
