I am not pissed off about choosing her for his VP, but in reality does
ANYONE want her in charge if something happens to McCain?? THAT is what
scares me...
I wish I was as confident as you all are that this was a bad choice. I
personally think it was (especially if the repubs assume that the folks that
supported Hillary would vote for her, that's insulting) but the jury is
still out on the rest of the country. Too early to tell....

By now, you would think that we would have figured out that a significant
chunk of the country does not think that way.
as someone who knows a few creationist/pro-lifer/stay at home moms of
more than two children/evangelical types, I can say in summary that
I'm hearing some negative feedback about McCain's choice.
I guess the question is how many people he will attract to his ticket
that were on the fence previously. I'm not convinced that will many.
(and I know it doesn't take many). I think there may be some who are
repelled from voting for him (esp. those who were worried he won't
make it four more years)

I had wondered if they'd pick a woman, but I wondered if they'd pick
someone with a pedigree, someone with some type of knowledge of
foreign policy and our domestic concerns -- like Kay Bailey
Hutchison. I know she said she didn't want the job, but out of all
the Rep. women I could think of, she's the only one that came to mind
as being viable -- who carries herself with an air of pride and who
commands respect (whether you respect her or not).
Palin is bringing in some of the evangicals. That's about all I can
see her doing for the ticket. And it was a really dumb ass idea.
