No (and I'm only very faintly remembering what it was between WZ and
Randy Newman......).

I think my non-attraction is based in two things, that are really
important to me:

-I don't like Newman's voice. It's kindof whiney and weird, is the
best description I can give of it, and that's a deal breaker with me
when it comes to trying to like a singer songwriter. Same with Willie
Nelson and Tom Petty-their voices mostly annoy me.

-as far as I know (and a caveat, because #1 above has kept me from
hearing a lot of his music), he doesn't write/sing about broken hearts
much or enough. I don't think there's anyone I love musically who
doesn't sing alot about broken hearts. If Zevon was only about
headless mercenaries or Browne was only about f*d up national issues,
I'd never have become fan-atics of theirs.
