Of course I've gone through the website you're referencing.  Rehashing
it shows nothing, other than that you can copy/paste the source I've
already seen.  What you don't seem to get is that fluoridealert is not
exactly the last word on the subject, and that the WHO, CDC, NIH, ADA,
Surgeon General and many others do not agree with them.  If you really
want to continue this, I think you'll need to make the case that
what's at fluoridealert is right, and that what's at these other
sources is not.  You haven't done that; instead you seem to want to
brush it aside with your "consensus" claim, as if no one would bother
to check.

I don't have a vested interest in this quarrel; as I've already noted
I'm on well water anyway.  But I'll note that when you say "all" when
it's clearly not "all," when you say "consensus" when plainly it is
not (unless you think you can somehow have a consensus or research
opinion *without* the WHO, CDC, NIH, ADA, etc.), all you do is
undercut your own position.  At some point, maybe you'll get that, and
then you can get around to trying to sell your argument rationally.

I understand what you're saying, but I thought I had made the point that
the ADA is a little biased on this point.  However, just looking at the
CDC website, the fluoride task force is almost entirely made up of
dentists... same bias.  If you look at the WHO and NIH websites, the
only studies they point to are the original flawed studies from the
1950s.  Point is, given the ADA's bias, the employees at the FDA's
complete repudiation, and most countries who had a program have
abandoned it because of the evidence, it seems the consensus IS moving
towards not putting fluoride in water.  The evidence should speak for
itself, and I'm not sure why you are putting weight in the ADA's
opinion.  And I defy you to find a recent study which shows ingesting
fluoride helps prevent cavities.  But so be it.  The AMA used to claim
smoking wasn't bad for you too.  But I have done my best to put the info
out there.  People who DO look at the evidence are usually enlightened,
and it is slowly changing.  The ADA seem to be the last holdouts, as
well as the organizations who rely on their advice.  Forgive me for
being passionate about poison in our water.

the money they used to on kiddies cavities. That is for sure.
