Trust me on this one.

Though I agree with everything up there I do want to comment on one
thing. What is *crazy* anyhow? Folks who have biological conditions
that cause them to have brain disorders are called "crazy". All of us
who have gone through depression, or whatever then *are* crazy by
definition. I think we need to look at that word and think about how
we use it.
Mental illness is much more common that folks think, and Depression is
a Mental Illness. People with Mental Illness, are called" crazy" by
folks that don't understand that this is an illness. I think we
either need to stop using that word to describe folks or reclaim it
and use it with pride. Clinical Depression runs in my family like blue
eyes - and was talked about in hushed tones and considered a secret.
A bad secret. It ain't about an act of will folks, its an illness. A
very disabling illness. I have seen and felt the results of the
stigma against folks with these illnesses for a long time....from both
sides of the coin. Think about it, folks, educate yourselves. The NAMI
website is a good place to start. http://www.nami.org/ Thanks.
Rant off.
Ruth, Crazy
Thanks for the link, Ruth. It's always good to educate people. Depression is doubly difficult, because you cannot reach out to the very people who can help.
