These things are near impossible to predict. He pulls stuff
completely out of thin air from Moon Mullican to The Swingin
Medallions to Manfred Mann. There's always a possibility of a
Creedence tune, but they've got a million songs.
The exception is- when someone dies (Johnny Cash, Warren Zevon...) you
can expect a tribute.
AZ, you're mister research...do you have a list of all the covers he's
done on stage?
are you kidding? That's huge... and that's what secondary sources are for. I
check out www.brucespringsteen.it - under the lyrics section, it lists just
about every song he is known to have played in concert.There's over 1400
songs listed, many of them outtakes and unreleased, but a huge chunk are
covers
.
