Milano thoughts

My few random thoughts about the concert in Milano.

I was impressed by the energy and intensity of the show, particularly in the first half and during the encores. However, I had I had the impression they had to slow down the pace and the intensity..

I loved the very solid version of the Ties that Bind. RTB into Adam was one of the highlights of the night.

Incident: it was a sort of dream come true... but eventually I felt a little bit disappointed by the performance, although I can't explain why. I know this is blasphemy, and I'm the first one to be surprised, but this is what happened... On the other hand E-Street shuffle was pure fun!

The intro of I'll work for your love was covered by the crowd, still singing Prove it all night. It was an awkward moment and I think it killed the song.

Encores: I read the discussion "song played vs. written setlist". To me, the encores were just perfect. The whole the sequence was great. 10th is one of my favorite songs, this version of Thunder road was far better than the one he played in 2003, and I find that American Land is a great concert closer. The show closed with the same high energy it had at the beginning.

Bruce was constantly interacting with the crowd, calling for singalongs whenever possible. He introduced Magic and Living in the future in Italian. There was a lot of interaction on stage with Steve, who had a prominent role in the show, as Clarence.
Nils had little, if any, opportunity to show his talent. He seems really underused...
Charles Giordano looked very concentrated and understandably less relaxed than the other members of the band, looking at his music sheets while playing.

In conclusion, I had a lot of fun and I am ready for more of that. Unfortunately this is not going to happen before June.
