Actually, I've already pointed out the inaccuracy of this kind of
statement by you once before within the last couple of weeks. This was
a record setting hurricane season in that two CAT5 hurricanes made
landfall in one year. Just because they didn't go through Atlanta
doesn't mean they didn't happen.

And also, I don't believe the global warming scientists are saying
there would necessarily be an increase in the number of hurricanes.
They are saying the intensity of hurricanes would increase and that
certainly seems to be the case.

I'm revisiting what you wrote above based on an article that Drudge is
linking to today. So far, it's not just the Northern Atlantic which
is down in tropical cyclone activity so far this season. The decline
in Northern Atlantic so far is 29%. The Eastern Pacific region is
down 60% and the Western Pacific is down 27%. The overall northern
hemisphere is down 33% in activity so far.

As for you believing that global warming scientists didn't predict an
increase in hurricanes, only an increase in hurricane intensity.
Think that through for a moment. Not all tropical storms develop into
hurricanes. The definition of a hurricane is a storm that reaches a
certain intensity. So if global warming is supposed to lead to an
increase in storm intensity, then inherent in that would be additional
storms reaching hurricane intensity that in the past would not have
quite reached that threshold.
