Uh, no. Anyone who needs a credit card to finance that nonsense is a

thanks for the jab.

I've been a fool about so much in life Jack, it would be sortof silly
to change my entire life's trajectory at this point...........

Truly, it wasn't meant as a jab. Is that what you've done in the past?
I thought you were talking about some of the 'others'. Besides, I've
already taken enough jabs at you over other things. I think we
basically see eye to eye on this northeast business.

it's okay-I can see that you were basing your comment on some not too
unreasonable assumptions about me/us. I'm fairly sure I'm one of the
poorer people posting here regularly, from what I've gotten to know
about folks here over the years. That's partly due to some choices
that I've made that could be considered foolish, and some stuff that I
have no control over. Regardless, my reality for decades has been
that when it comes around to me having fun-there's often no money left
over for it. It's charge it, and try to pay it off before the kids
inherit the bill or don't have fun. Luckily, I have friends and
family in Bruce Territory, or I wouldn't even be thinking of
travelling (again) to a Bruce show. But I can couch surf and eat what
they're serving for a week, and that makes it pretty comfortable and
not as painful financially.

I wouldn't be shocked if there are other other people in my position-
needing to finance some of the fun in life-but I'm the only fool
who'll admit it maybe. <g>

Hey, I flat-out scrounged off of some of the more generous souls hear to
attend a Bruce show at a time when I REALLY needed it. I was just told to
'pay it forward.'

Though now (and partially because I'm a cheapskate and try not to have
costly fun on a regular basis) I can afford more, I'm not well-off by any
means. Social work and all that jazz! But I have a good car and a job and
a decent home, so I've found the opportunity to pay it forward more than
once, I'm happy to say.

Sometimes you NEED to blow off some steam, and it's worth the later bills.
