NBC - Filmmaker Antonioni dead

Although many of you have probably not seen his movies (the original
Blow-Up is probably the most famous), he was one of the most revered
Italian filmmakers.

I saw several of his films for the first time at a retrospective last
summer, and it was a transformative experience for me. His films
require a brain and an attention span, but if you are interested in
the ways that humans torment each other and the helpless ways we try
to avoid or deny it, than go to his oeuvre.
