Following up on Gully's post, which deserves its own thread.

Who are the most underrated bands? And WHY? Not just that you like them,
what did they do that made them special?


The Only Ones had It All, but got Nowhere. A richly melodic sound,
fantastically honest lyrics, a great guitarist. The world refused to listen,
and after two fantastic albums and one not-so-fantastic one, the called it
quits. Peter Perrett (the lyricist) and John Perry (the guitarist) haven't
done anything of interest in over 25 years. It's a gorram crying shame.
