I just listened to a 1972 live show by the group Bread (yes, Dime even has
Bread concerts), and when I heard the old cornball song "Make It With You",
I suddenly flashed on my best friend in high school always referring to a
girl he had a huge crush on when this song would come on the radio.
The one I can think of offhand for one of my crushes (junior high) is "My
Cherie Amour" by Stevie Wonder. Except her name was Teri so of course I
substituted the name.... (yuck, I know).
Oh Burt.. that is adorable
What were some of yours?
Please remember I'm about 20 years older than most of you, 40 for Jyqm
and Kyle,
And like what....4 years old than me, Gully?
I like that we have such a cool age range here.
I remember slow dancing with some creep to Cherish by the Association in High School. My cousin Patty had a crush on some guy named stuie and she used to sing the Four Seasons Sherry and substitute STUUIIIIEEEEE to it. She was astounded that I remembered that when I teased her about it recently but it was hilarious.
