MUSE is a UK band - so there's as much chance it's written about Blair as
Bush - or both.

This culture is, with a few exceptions, morally bankrupt and corrupt.
So, it comes as no surprise that it'd take a geriatric Neil Young or
those approaching middle-age such as the members
of Pearl Jam or Green Day to take up the battle cry.
Well... it dawned on me that the song "Take A Bow" that leads off the
album "Black Holes and Revelations" by MUSE (one of my youngest kid's
favorite bands) is prolly about Bush. Of course it's only one song, and
the rest of the cd is about other subjects (some political, many not).
Still, the lyrics - which taken by themselves read like bad 9th grade
poetry - are very direct, and when coupled to the (intense) music it
makes an obvious statement.
Take A Bow by MUSE
Corrupt. You corrupt and bring corruption to all that you touch
Hold. You'll behold and beholden for all that you've done
Spell. Cast a spell, cast a spell on the country you run
And risk. You will risk, you will risk all their lives and their souls
And burn. You will burn, you will burn in hell for your sins
Our freedom's consuming itself
What we've become is contrary to what we want
Take a bow
Death. You bring death and destruction to all that you touch
Pay. You must pay, you must pay for your crimes against the earth
Hex. Feed the hex feed the hex on the country you love
And beg. You will beg, you will beg for their lives and their souls
And burn. You will burn, you will burn in hell
You will burn in hell for your sins
Like I said, these ain't exactly the world's greatest lyrics. But at
least this band is attempting to be somewhat political, and for a young
band that's at least a start. Their music is heavy and atmospheric,
FWIW.
