Obviously there's not that much risk with 4 tix for 45 bucks. Would
you buy 4 Stones tickets if they were Ticketfast at $500 a pop on Ebay?

I prefer hard tickets, but have bought and sold E-tickets many times and
never gotten ripped off. Called faith and trust. Or some might refer to it
as stupidity. I don't usually buy E-tickets from TM because they charge you
more for E-ticket delivery than standard mail. I would really think if they
wanted people to use the service more, they would not add $4 to your order
for E-Ticket.

I'm wondering if anyone has any advice or experience to share about
buying tickets on Ebay, i.e. possible pitfalls, ripoffs and other
assorted disappointments.
Yesterday I helped my son buy some tickets (manning the computer, using
his cash) to see one of his favorite bands for a show last night
(Tool), and the whole transaction went down very smoothly-we won with
our first bid, paid, communicated with the seller who promptly emailed
the ticketfast version of the tickets, son had a kickass time at the
show, all for $50 under face.
But what's to stop someone from forwarding the .pdf file more than once
and selling the tickets more than once? Obviously, they'd get
annihilated in their feedback, but depending on the circumstances maybe
someone would go for it... I have a friend whose son is in the
military in Europe who got screwed on $600. in World Cup soccer
tickets. OUCH.
Also, do venues ever care if you are not the person listed on the
ticket face as the buyer (or hold the credit card used to buy them)?
anyway, I'm thinking this is a pretty good way to go for future ticket
purchases (esp. the ones that start out too expensive), but wanted to
see if anyone had any wisdom to pass off before the next time 'round.
thanks very much,
susan
