Re: Q's about buying concert tickets on Ebay (poss. BC)

I say, buy 'em on Craigslist for your area, and pick them up in person.
People are often dumping tix at the last minute for face or less. That's how
I got to see Joe Jackson on his latest tour, for $10 less than face, without
worrying about missing out in the case of a sell-out.

I thought about Craigslist, but having never checked it out at all
previously, didn't want to add that learning curve to the whole
situation (and it seems like there are some negatives I heard about it
rumbling in my brain about it somewhere too........)

It can get a bit tricky to manage/co-ordinate meet ups in these
parts-we live about an hour and a half from the venue this was at last
night (the old Fiddler's Green), and the seller was about the same
distance the opposite direction from there (in CO Springs, I think)-so
it adds up to several hours of driving to do a handoff of tickets.
Ticketstub is probably a safer way to go, if the planning is there to
have the real tickets mailed to you. We'd been banging on TM up to the
morning of the show, thinking that tickets had to shake loose at the
last minute (which they didn't).

So, would you recommend Craigslist over Ebay or Ticketstub or any of
the other typical resale places?

thanks for the advice,
