Re...I've never really understood this.....would he prefer
DISorganized religion???
I agree with this. People use the term "organized religion" without
knowing what they mean or how silly they sound. I attend a church where
the attendence this morning was about 100 people....small children
included. We have purchased an old building in the downtown area of our
small city and we try to have an impact on the street people and the
homless, etc. We are associated with a church-planting oriented movement
from the UK, called New Frontiers. We call our church, "the Meeting
Place". We are orthadox in theology, conservative, evangelical, and
charismatic to some degree. We "try "to be organized so things run
smoothly. Is this "organized religion" that scares so many people? If
your answer is yes, then I would suggest that it's some other reason.
Perhaps fear of commitment. Or other reasons that might be better
addressed on another forum. ....andy j.
