I hope that Springsteen is as inept or lacks the savvy on the computer as is
often claimed.
I can't imagine that it'd be any joy to read so-called "admirers," "loyal
fans"...whatever...reading posts such as this, posts that bash one's spouse.

Yet, this sort of post seems to pop up every now and then...and just about
always from the men-folk.
And, if the audiences that I've seen at the past few shows I've gone to are
any indication,
I'm betting that folks who make this sort of post are in their
late 30s, their 40s or 50+ years old.
I mean, yeah, I can understand an adolescent or a teen worshipping someone
to the point of becoming an obsessive crush or sorts....that sort of thing
isn't all that
unusual or uncommon for kids in that age-bracket..
But it's just downright disturbing to think that these same feelings are
harbored by folks in my age bracket.
For someone to be seething with a sentiment of "and I hated him...and I
hated you when you went away..." (except substitute "her" for "him" in that
line)
at this late in life is just weird.

I've always found it pretty distasteful when this sort of vitriol got lunged
at the likes of Yoko Ono or Linda McCartney
(even though their respective musical talents...as well as one of the two's
public statements/acts... could be called into question..).
But, man, to do this to a woman who's never been anything but an asset to a
guy's musical career...
Jiminy, when one's pent-up feelings of homo-eroticism result in the above
sort of post....well, it's probably time to bust out of that cage and
liberate one's self.
Seriously.
