You know how when you're using Internet Explorer, if you want to have
more than one website up at a time, you have to open a separate browser
window for each of them, and suddenly your taskbar is just filled with
the damn things? With Firefox, you can open a dozen webpages or more
within one broswer window. Clicking CTRL+T will open up a new "tab"
without taking you away from the website you're currently looking at or
open a whole new browser window. Your browser ends up looking like a
stack of file folders: you can see all the tabs sticking out the top,
and you just click on what page you want to look at.

It might sound like a minor thing, but it makes things so much less
cluttered on your taskbar, and it's really wonderful if you want to
have a bunch of websites up because you're say, comparing airline
prices.
