exactly my complaint as well. loved nearly every moment while watching,
thought it was wonderfully done for what was there, the tone, etc., but
30
minutes after it was over, I was like, hey, they forgot about half of
the record.
I realize they're priority was clearly framing the album as a whole and
the
springsteen story part 1975, but part of the majesty of the album is
the
strength and special quality of nearly every song, and some of them
should
have gotten some play. (if one song is at all suspect, for me it's
"night", and
I still think a lot of it.) of course, it's also possible they simply
didn't have
anything that interesting as to footage or alternate takes of the other
songs,
but you've got to believe there were at least some nice stories or
factoids
about "she's the one" (the whole mono thing perhaps), "meeting across
the
river" (nice horn! how'd that come about? did bruce construct every
note of
THAT solo? any autobiography to that song worth revealing? etc.), and
"night", and perhaps more about "backstreets". it's the songs stupid.

and more svz would have been a plus...
'
But, I still really like/d it, and think it was well done.

cwb
(bring on a "darkness", "river", and "nebraska" versions...)
