I've always found that to be one of the more interesting aspects of his

Regardless of the faith he does/does not practice, he does manage to cut to
heart of many Judeo-Christian themes
("Suzanne" ~ "Story of Isaac" ~ "Joan of Arc" ~ "Song of Bernadette" ~
"Hallelujah" - "If It Be Your Will" ~ "Villanelle for Our Time"...just to
name a few off the top of my head).
And the results have often been stunningly beautiful and transcendent...
