Taste of Home {I could not live nearly as happily as I do without this
magazine... I have been a subscriber for about 15 years, and I think in the
hundreds of recipes I have used from there, I have had one dud. And, it
wasn't even a dud, I just didn't like it!}
Backstreets {though admittedly, I have been less than thrilled with their
delivery for the last few years... mine seem to come much later than
everyone else's. Why do they hate me? ; ) }
Wired {this one's for my husband, who is the hugest
geek/nerd/gearhead/whatever I've ever known. He loves this one, and makes
great efforts to read each issue. (though there are some still in the
plastic, as nobody else is allowed to open them but him!) I have read it
from time to time, and found a lot of interesting articles. Actually, I
just signed up for a 5-year extension to our subscription for $10 on ebay,
so maybe I'll start reading it more regularly, too}
Rolling Stone {Hasn't started arriving yet. I took advantage of the Hot
Deal offer, so ought to start getting this in about a month or so. I
subscribed for years, I think from when I was 10 until I was 27... then I
realized that I hadn't actually *read* it in so long, and I let it run out.
For the money, though, it will be worth it to check it out again.}
Woman's Day {I only get this because it's free with my ClubMom account.
It's ok, I suppose, but like most women's mags, it is very superficial and
not very useful, at least to me. Occasionally I pull a recipe out of one,
or maybe a website link or something. Mostly, I just read it an laugh}
Entertainment Weekly (I think we may have just got our last issue of this,
though. We had a free subscription through Suncoast, or something like
that. I'd never read it before getting ours, and looked forward to checking
it out. It was ok, some good info here and there, but a lot of the writers
I found to be snarky and not very good. Kind of the way I feel about
PEOPLE, so I don't read that either.)
Kurt also gets a few Kung Fu and Martial Arts magazines a few times a year,
and also subscribes to Sports Compact Car (Compact Sports Car?... something
like that... obviously, you can tell I don't pay attention to that one at
all). I get a gardening magazine and Gibson gets a few Disney/Discovery
Kids things. Ranger Rick is next on the list for him. I loved that one
when I was growing up!
