Arcade Fire - Funeral - Majestic to say the least. The more I listen
to this the more I like it. The songs just continue to grow on you
with each repeated listening. Many of them start out slow, building
slowly to an amazing crescendo
Mr Hollands Opus - Original Motion Picture Soundtrack - Great
selection of songs including The Pretender, Imagine, Keep On Running,
Uptight, etc. Plus, a GREAT movie.
You've Got Mail - Original Motion Picture Soundtrack - Features songs
by Harry Nilsson, The Cranberries, Jimmy Durante, Carole King, Roy
Orbison, etc.
Bruce Springsteen - The Lost Gems - Nice single disc compilation of
studio outtakes, in studio radio stuff and non album tracks from the
early days. The studio version of You Mean So Much To Me
is incredible on this. Nice early version of Jungleland with the
Suki's overdubbed strings.
John Lennon - Double Fantasy - With his birthday recently and the
anniversary of his murder approaching this way made the rotation.
12/8/80 is still one of the saddest days ever. Imagine if he had
lived and what kind of great music he could have created.
The Rolling Stones - Sticky Fingers - Listen to this along with
Beggars Beggars Banquet, Let It Bleed, Exile, and Goats Head Soup and
you find the Stones at their best.
Have a great week folks.
