Wrong - this is the most non-intellectual way to evaluate relative
performance. You don't take into account what each country is trying to
achieve and no one can argue that the European countries are not trying to
build different types of societies than what smirk wants to build here in
the states. Even though their economies don't perform as well under the
statistics you choose to cite, they do much better in terms of providing
adequate health care,housing, schooling, etc. than does the US for ALL their
citizens. If simply producing more and giving all of it to the top 1% is
your idea of a 'booming' economy then no, they don't perform as well.
However, how many people across the globe, outside of the wingnuts in the
US, think this is the purpose of an economy?
