Mayor Nagin and Police Chief Compass put most of that out there. Nagin
told Oprah during a live interview that hundreds of armed gang members
were killing and raping people inside the dome. Compass said his cops
were being shot at all over the city, and babies were being raped in
the dome. Actually, the cops were too busy looting and stealing
Cadillacs to be shot at. Also, any law enfocement official who's sane,
knows that people do not revert to raping babies in times of stress and
disorder. Why the hell would anyone spread that ***? He's since
resigned. Which is probably a good thing for NO. Where did it all come
from? Not sure, but it was probably the fault of Bush or Rumsfeld :-)
