civil disobedience is far from nice, as it opposes/defies what is
comfortable for many (nice) in order to bring an end to their cocoon
that is built at the expense of another's dignity.

But I also can't remember MLK, Jr. or Ghandi ever using in speach or
action, violent hatred toward their oppressors. They both knew they
would be defeated before they began, if that was their motivation.
