Why the national outcry? It's not because they stayed or didn't stay. It's
also not because the mayor didn't force school bus drivers to shuttle people
outside the city. You're not this daft.
It's because people sat around for 5 days and longer with no food, water or
ice. It's not that difficult to understand if you concentrate on the one
particular problem and not try to divert attention from that one problem.
I'm telling you, for those of us who have been through these things, this is
what is being talked about. No one expects a mayor, a governor or a
president to evacuate an area the size of metropolitan New Orleans. Everyone
won't or doesn't want to get out. We accept that. We do expect food, water
and ice to not take 5 days to get to us.
