Maureen Dowd is responsible for changing the way I start my day. I used
to bring the NY Times onto the train, do the crossword puzzle, and if I
finished early enough, read whatever Section F had to offer.

Now, I devour the editorial pages and typically don't finish until I get
to NY.

I start the day a little angrier than I used to, but I have to say that
I feel more energized, so I guess that's a good thing.
