Re: HOW MUCH MORE 'CHANGE' DO YOU THINK YOU CAN STAND?

so the price spiked for finished, consumable gasoline, simply because
those who charge for it, decided they had an excuse to do so?

I believe that to be correct.

that wouldnt surprise me, and doesnt give a lot of creedence to anyone
arguing that the price of gas is high right now because those who we
buy oil from, hate us.

It is also faults with 'those who hate us'.. they play the game to keep
prices high, as evidenced by the production cutbacks. They cut
back supply to keep demand high. Don't think for a second OPEC
doesn't know how to 'play the game'. They mastered it in the seventies.

That instead suggests the price of gas is high because of the greed of
those speculating on the market, including the american oil companies,
the distributors, and the retailers. NONE of whom are moslem
terrorists.

It is certainly both.

the plot thickens. now the argument shifts towards government
regulation of industry, including wall street, and the fuel industry.

Liberals want it, of course because its more government control over
the business sector, and say its needed. Perhaps it is. Conservatives
argue it will only inhibit the economy, and make things even worse.

Today in the atlanta paper it was revealed that the DOT is almost 450
million dollars in the red. An excellent example of governmental
spending out of control. Do we really want these knuckleheads in
charge of ANYTHING?

The government has never taken control of a single entity, that I am
aware of anyways, that they handled effectively and cheaply.
