Re: OT: What the F...is wrong with people

<<Some of my friends felt sorry for me, for being stuck on music at
least 15 years old... I never saw anything wrong in liking music with
good musicians and more than ONE good song an album. They forced me to
borrow music by Tool, Korn, System of a Down etc etc. What a load of
crap that was.. I had to turn on Led Zeppelin, Kiss, Megadeth etc to
clean my ears. Mixing hip-hop and metal is NOT a good thing. Maybe some
of you like it, but I don`t. I thought it was crap the first time i
heard it and this time I actually gave the bands a fair shot....but no.
Still sounds like crap. The lyrics are crap and trying to hide limited
musical skill by putting in all kinds of sounds and make the songs
"special" by doing weird things instead of playing just doesn't\t change
the fact that it was crap...lol.

Ouch! I'm sure there is some good new music out there...but that stuff
isn't it!

It's ridiculous to think that somebody should stop listening to good
music just because it's old! By that logic we should only watch new
(dumb) blockbuster movies, read new books, etc. F*** the classics,
yeah! What a silly philosophy. Your friends must be either very young
or very immature, or both. It's you who should feel sorry for them not
vice versa.

BTW if you do want to hear some _good_ new music, check out Wolfmother.
They've got a very nice 70s hard rock feel, kinda Grand Funk [esp in the
bass sound] meets Led Zeppelin, but still with its own identity. I saw
them live last year and they were even better in concert than on the
album. Anyone else into these guys?
