Re: What's up

Welcome back to the newsgroup, it's real nice to have you back. Things
just haven't been the same without you here, seriously. I thought I
could carry things on myself, but it didn't really work. I, too have
taken extended leaves from the newsgroup for months at a time, so I
know how you feel.

What have I been up to? Well, last year I was fairly aggressive in my
real estate investing, buying 5 properties. I haven't bought one yet
this year. There was one I had my eye on about a month ago that I
should have just gone ahead and bought, but while I was preparing my
lowball offer, etc., someone came along and just snatched it right out
from under me. Also I kind of lost interest for a bit, as the last
place I bought was in December of 2005, and it took until April 1 06 to
get rented, so I didn't want to have a lot of "loose ends" out there -
if you know what I mean. So, during that period of time, I did some
pretty heavy stock trading with very stringent "rules", putting in
orders for literally DOZENS of stocks (limit orders), and literally
only a handful of the orders actually have gone through (so far), but
all of those stocks have gone up. Heck, I bought $5000 worth of this
one stock and within DAYS it was up $2000!!!!!!!! But now I'm getting
that real estate "itch" again and am on the prowl for my next income
property.

I haven't seen Shane around for a while. Arrogant still posts, but not
very often. He'll come along about every 3 weeks and post some replies,
but he, too has moved on for the most part. About the only people who
HAVEN'T moved on are Pyro and Steamer, these guys together post here
more than everybody else combined.
