It's simply a matter of balance and real motives.

Never have. I'm just saying that many of them are not factually
untrue ( at least as far as the news pastes ). They A ) don't belong
here, and B ) don't belong anywhere, because they are lame attempts at
stirring up hatred and anger.

Suppose we wanted to stir up hate towards atheists for instance. It's
very easy to do. Since there are a lot of atheists out there, you'll
have plenty of instances of horrible crimes committed by them to
choose from. You then just dig up any story that involves an atheist
and post it every day to whip people into a frenzy of hatred. You can
do that with any group.

Yep. However, there ARE certain 'groups' where things like
'criminality' are much more prevalent. For instance, I'm not aware of
any violent street gangs whose common factor is 'lack of belief in a
Supreme Being'.

If someone were to call me a 'fat old baldheaded
motherfucker', I doubt it would be intended kindly or informatively,
and yet I would have to plead guilty on all counts.

Cold, hard facts are not what the racists want people to know.  Facts
like, per capita, the number of crimes committed by Mexicans is
actually *lower* than among the non-Mexican population.

Mexicans are generally pretty good people, in my opinion. Strong
families, good work ethic, etc.

Many are. They DO fall down, however, on the American Ideal,
as this country was founded on, of ASSIMILATION ( things like
'learning to speak English' ), rather than 'making this THEIR 'old
country'.

The Irish, the Germans, the Italians, the Russians, etc, -
each in the time of their own 'great immigrant waves', all eventually
stopped trying to make America into 'Little Ireland', LIttle Germany',
'Little Italy', etc, and ASSIMILATED.

Yes, they retain their own cultural pride, traditions,
celebrations, etc, as is their right. But, they also 'become
Americans', a very different thing than 'Irish, Italians, etc living
in a country foreign to them called America'.

Many Mexicans ( not all, just 'many' ), on the other hand,
look at Mexico as 'their country', and the fact that they live in
America as 'an inconvenience, done for financial reasons'. Many
blacks ( again, not 'all', just 'many' ) choose to consider themselves
African First ( although they have never been there, nor were their
parents or grand-parents or great-grand-parents ), and choose to take
more pride in THAT, than in being AMERICAN.

As long as ANY race or culture takes that view, they will be
what they choose to be -NOT AMERICANS. History has proved this. As
long as they CHOOSE to differentiate themselves from other Americans
by their backgrounds, they will remain differentiated.

It seems the States are intent on just repeating the same mistakes
they have made over their entire history; quick to resort to racial
hatred, which pushes people to the margins of society instead of
bringing them in, then reaping the social ills that result from the
ghettoization which they will have to live with for another hundred
years. As if the mistakes made in the case of blacks wasn't proof
enough of how counter-productive that is in the long run.

Read your history deeper. Look at the history of the Irish,
German, Italian, etc immigrants when they first arrived here. They
were thought of, and treated, as 'below the blacks', less than dirt.
Even today, many ( not all, just many ) BLACKS are highly prejudiced
against Latinos.

Yes, the blacks have a particular history of being brought
here as slaves in ships. However, the Irish, the Italians, etc, came
here in ships, too, living in squalor below decks, living in whatever
ghettos and slums they could find at the edge of the swamp ( read
about Five Points in NYC ), picking rotten food out of the garbage to
eat, and doing 'day labor' for whatever pittance they could get. They
were thought of, and treated like, slaves. Sub human.

BTW - the slavery of blacks ( in the classic sense of 'being
held in chains as forced labor', etc ) still exists today - IN AFRICA.
BY OTHER BLACKS. Which, BTW, was the ORIGIN of the slave trade.

Racial genocide still exists today - IN AFRICA. Blacks killed
by other blacks. Not 'a few people not being given economic
opportunity' or 'some unspoken prejudice', but rather MILLIONS OF DEAD
BODIES.

How many millions of blacks have been killed by ( just to name
a few ) Mugabe ( Zimbabwe), Idi Amin ( Uganda ),and Charles Taylor (
Liberia ) ? Both by direct killing, and the effects of their
policies ? How many Cambodians killed by Pol Pot ? How many Russians
killed by Stalin ? Many more than were ever held in slavery in the
USA, that is for sure.

Why is it always 'the white man's fault', 'the Americans'
fault' ?
