A sportbike group in Orange County, CA had annual "Toad Rides".
Unlike the MSF notion of "No Rider Gets Left Behind" (at least on the
way to the first restaurant), the "Toad Ride" assumes that all riders
are competent enough to ride at extralegal speeds and know the roads,
and will meet up at the agreed-upon restaurant, or whatever.
If a rider wants to bug out, that's OK too, he doesn't have to tell
the MSF nannies that he's splitting, he doesn't even have to give the
tradition one-finger
biker salute to the group.
Sounds exactly like any average UK rideout.....
