For a ~500 lb bike, would a single 8ft 2x6 suffice to get it into the back
(or even 2 2x6s side by side) or do I need something thicker to hold the
weight? I'm sure they sell ramps, but 2x6s are like 2 bucks and very useful
in lots of places around the home so why not start there. I know they sell
tailgate lips for the boards - you know to hold the board steady on the
tailgate and make it flush with the tailgate surface. I'm just wondering
about the boards themselves, it would suck the guess wrong and have it break
halfway up the ramp.
