Like a Summer Day

Today in Calgary, in the middle of February, a day closer to
Valentines Day than Easter, was just like a spring. The temp got up to
12c, low 50's far. when as early as last week it was 30 below.
WOW!
Even better, it is my day off.
Obviously I spent the afternoon on the bike. The roads are a mess. The
heavy snow that fell the other day is melting fast and mixing with the
ice chips dumped on the asphalt for traction, forming a slimy,
slippery, slurry that is slick as snot. So caution was the order of
the day, as was locking up the wheels with the slightest application
of the brakes.
Despite that riding for the first time in a month was quite a treat.
Hell I even got a bit of a sunburn.
