The question is, do people have anything to do with global warming
(or cooling for that matter)? The answer is... Probably not.

Based on what?

Certainly NOT based on the research of temp. swings over the past 40 million
years or so that show hundreds of cycles from hot to cold.....all staying in
a (relatively) narrow band, not deviating more than 5 %. AND THEN over the
past 200 years or so when the average temperatures not only have gone OUT of
that band that they have been in for 40 million years or so but they are out
of the band by something like 600 % and still going.

Anyone who actually does research from reliable sources instead of eating
the bull*** pabulum being fed to you by other ignorant mother-fuckers who
have a short term interest in KEEPING you ignorant........actually knows
that there is only one conclusion to be drawn......and it is NOT that the
earth is 20 million miles closer to the sun than it used to be.

Actually Ken, reliable sources have begun to question how the earth's
ambient temperatures have been measured recently. Seems they have been
using a fairly complex formula for removing man made infrastructure
from the equation, in order to fairly compare today's temps with those
from centuries past. That formula has apparently registered false high
temperatures, skewing the comparison.

Your colourful statement about being fed bull*** pablum works both
ways. One need to be careful when listening to special interest groups
that have a specific axe to grind and windfall profits to be earned.

One of the basic tells for these groups is when they holler at the top
of their lungs "The Debate Is Over."

As any true scientist will tell you, the debate is never over. There
is a constant search for the truth, regardless of the subject matter.

Informative debate, including debate in forums like Reeky, is healthy
and contributes to our collective understanding of the issue.
