Or will it just be a BIG Harley -Davidson decal with a huge American flag
and an eagle, with a "Buy American" decal on your 1984 Toyota's rear window?

Step up to the plate, Paul. Was the Shadow 600 too much bike for you?
The Evo engines had to be designed and built in Japan, because by 1980,
all the American companies who could design, cast such a large piece of
aluminum, and maintain the high quality standards demanded by HD were as
extinct as dinosaurs.
Very wrong.
EVO (released 1984 BTW) was entirely designed and US built from the
start, as are the current air-cooled engines.
All of the parts are built and assembled here in USA. The water cooled
motors had some help from Porsche for head design. Porsche also helped
with durablilty testing. The water cooled motors are entirely built in
the US.
HD had already been building all their bikes with Showa, Nippon, and
Denso parts for the wheels, front ends, electrics for a decade, anyway,
by the time the EVO was produced.
Current Harleys are over 95% US content. Most of the electrics are
Delphi.
Wheels are Australian (CastAlloy).
There are not very many products made entirely in America, because the
factories and foundries are elsewhere.
LOL! What a bunch of bull.
