The last thing Planned Parenthood is about is Planned Parenthood -
everybody knows that. It's a euphemism for population control. When
you're in the business of killing for profit, compliance with the law
isn't foremost on your to-do list.
Congratulations, Sir!
Because of your obviously Christian morals we're certain that you'll be a
great adoptive parent for the three thousand two hundred and sixty three
unwanted minority babies that are now on the way to your doorstep, C.O.D.
We're sure that you'll want to take out a second, third, and forth mortgage
on your home to pay for the best upbringings that money can buy!
Ya see, if ya wanna impose your religious beliefs on the rest of the world,
you're gonna have to pay for the results, one way or another.
One last thought... I firmly believe that centuries down the road,
legalized abortion will be seen as a great abomination by future
socities just as we view Hitler's elimination of 12 million souls, the
Roman's practice of throwing people to the lions for entertainment,
the ancient Mayans' practice of cutting out the hearts from live
victims for sacrifice, the decimation of native Americans first from
disease and later via state-sponsored elimination, indiscriminate
bombings by religious bigots, and other grotesque events with which we
find our human history laden.
I do not believe that abortion will be hailed as the single great
break-through in human history, the one great ideal that the entire
human race can be proud of. Or maybe you disagree and feel that
abortion is the one great accomplishment of mankind. If so, I'd liek
to see you defend that position.
And with climate warming accepted by many as scientific fact, it will
provide to some all the more reason to decrease the population.

Now that you say you're finished....
I don't think I am smart enough to sit in moral judgement of others on
this issue. Nor do I have the right.
So Bob, let me get this straight - you can have no opinion on the
topic and by the same token, neither am I allowed an opinion; that
"abortion" is so sacrosanct as to make null and void any opinions? Is
that truly what you are saying?
No, I am not personally in favour of abortion simply as a form of
birth control but on the other hand, I don't feel I have the right to
tell others what to believe.
There are times when abortion is necessary, desirable or just plain
the right thing to do but making it illegal would force people needing
an abortion into back alleys like they did in the 50s or to carry high
risk or non viable pregnancies.
Followng that logic, why fill our prisons 70% with drug-related
offenders and make people go in the back alley to cop and do drugs and
risk AIDS? Why not legalize it - better yet, make you as a taxpayer
reponsible for subsidizing it? That way, we could free up 70% of
prison space and take drugs out of the hands of criminals.
That's the trouble with this issue. Nobody wants to find a middle
ground. People on both sides seem to think there isn't a middle ground
and they are all perfectly happy to tell everyone el;se what to think
and do. Especially if they don't have to follow suit themselves.
It's like the gun lobby; any movement made towards any middle ground
is immediately addressed by the pro-aborts as an attack on women's
rights just as any movement on gun rights is attacked as an attack on
the 2nd amendment (of the US Constitution).
Here's a middle ground... let abortion continue, but do not pemit any
Federal, state, or local tax revenue be used for payment. Private
insurance can cover it if the insurer allows it. For the
underprivileged, make doctors perform abortions pro-bono even if on a
court-ordered basis as lawyers are forced to do in the US - or simply
out of thier medical goodwill.
