He's been 'out' long enough to know that stopping a motorcycle from 80
MPH
in 100 feet (while smoking the tires, applying and releasing the brakes

regain control, and using the engine as a brake to help maintain
control) is
impossible. Even on a Metroplex Freeway (as if that has anything to do
with
it, lol)
Vic you have that all wrong. It was smoking and boiling the tires,
having the rear wheel swing to the left and then to the right,
downshifting to regain traction and alternating hard on the front
brake and then the rear brake in order to make a picture perfect stop
from a speed of 80mph in less than 100 ft.
Geez you guys have got to keep this *** straight.
What's that? You say he was smoking some good ***? ;)
Bruce
Well that would explain the stop from 80mph in less than 100ft.
Tell you what let's do.. here's another little challenge to you..
That stop was made maybe a year ago.. It was reported on another
tx.motorcycles, at the time.. There were other riders present and
witnessed that stop..
There is no doubt in my mind that you have already googled the
thread where the stop was discussed.. With all your computer
expertise, I'd expect you can re-open that thread and all this
discussion can happen amongst the riders who were actually
involved in an incident ..
I'm sure those boys would be more than interested in a lot of
the opinions and comments that you and Tim Morrow have
made to address what happened.. LOL Your views about
downshifting, braking and motorcycle crashes in general may
be of particular interest .. <evil grin>
All this discussion and the opinions of a few of the Reekyites
who've bought into yours and Morrow's usenet nonsense is
an exercise in futility compared to the riders who really blister
the paint on motorcycles and actually ride and survive crashes
and near misses..
As far as I know, you've never responded to any challenge that
might expose yourself , so I won't hold my breath on this one..
