Re: Selling my bike... thinking about trading

Any trade is a good trade if you feel good about it. I'd just sleep on it
for a couple days and see how you feel later.

First time poster here... hwats up all?

So i'm selling my 04 honda shadow sabre its 1100cc and has 2000 miles
on and everything is mint on it. The reason i'm selling is because i
don't ride it as much as i'd like and i really could use the cash. So i
had an ad on craigslist and have been getting a pretty big interest at
$5600, which i think is a fair price. So here's my question.

This guy came over yesterday to look at the bike, after dealing with a
lot of people on craigslist you can tell there are a lot of good people
and alot of low ball scumbags, this guy yesterday seemed like a real
striaght up dude, so he pulls up on this 85 honda magna (ugly as sin)
so we're talking and he's saying how he just wants to make the natural
progression and move to something bigger but he cant afford a harley
yadda yadda yadda, so he wants to test ride the bike, so i say do you
mind if i ride oyurs and we'll go on a twenty min cruise around diff
terrain (hills, turns, highway) so he can get a feel, So we start
riding and i'm thinking this magna is pretty cool, runs great and its
fun to ride, so we get back to my house and he tells me he really likes
my bike but doesnt have cash on him and is goign to go home and check
his finances and get back to me, at this point i said... so what are
you doign with your bike, and he got this look in his face as did i and
he replies with, do you wnna trade and knock a grand off the price, so
i said yeah i'd do that. NOw in my eyes i still get $4600 to pay for
bills and a nice little bike to toll around on when i do have time to
ride.

So what do you guys think... is it worht it? i could tell he took good
care of the bike... no rust, good tires, no leaks. etc. etc....

Just looking for some opinions here if you guys were in my postition
what would you do?

thanks alot

cory
