Restore to their former numbers? Sheeee-it! That's like saying field
mice are endangered. We're busy killin' 'em off as fast as we can
around here and they're still over-populating!

I used to thin them out on my father's farm for a few years and just
gave up. Just more come from upstream to take their place.

Those pelts are worth a little bit of money though. My wife has a nice beaver
skin parka.
