When one of "those days" comes along be sure to take advantage of it. I did both the SS1000 and
the BB1500 on my Wing with one of Russels "Day Long" saddles. The secret is short stop times for gas/pee,
eat and drink on the bike. It's easy to do running the speed limits if you stay focused on riding and
making every minute count. I did both my rides after my 60th birthday so you know it's easy to do.

Woo-hoo!
That day I rode up to Walker or thereabouts to meet up for NART, I
could have done a SS1000 quite easily. It amounted to about 700 miles
and the groove I was in could have gone on another 300 or more.
But it's hard to predict which day will turn into one of THOSE days, so I don't know if I'll ever do a SS1000 . . . officially, anyways.
But a quick ride over to SUX sometime next summer sounds like a hoot.
pooder was here enjoying the snow for now
