bluetooth helmet set, GPS, MP3- anyone have a good setup?

OK, with the new touring rig (FJR) I need to think about some things I
had on my ST1100 that were cool for long trips.
I HAVE to have music on the bike for long trips, so in the past I was
using an ipod with earplug style headphones. I had an older garmin
street pilot and liked it for the speed and map functions mainly.
I was going to a pinball show in chicago with a guy that had a
bluetooth PDA running tomtom with a blue tooth GPS antenna. The cost of
the PDA with software was far lower than a newer garmin system (no
expensive garmin only parts, either). I was thinking that maybe a PDA
running GPS software, playing mp3s while transmitting to a nice
wireless headset and mic could be the way to go (mic optional) with
minimal and wires. I'm not a big fan of having phone access while
riding, but that is another thing to think about with bluetooth
headsets.
I have a full face helmet and limited space to mount a system on an
FJR, so I was wondering if anyone had thought of such a system.
