Also note that typically (at least at my dentist's office) the filling
or root canal is more like a surgical procedure and there is a second
person standing by to act as an assistant. The cost of the work
would then include *two* salaries, not one like a cleaning. The
assistant probably makes a tad less than the hygenist, the doctor
obviously much more. Given the rule that labor costs are typcially
about half of any job anywhere, one would expect the appointment
to cost at *least* double. Then include the materials costs as
you say....
