Don,
I am not sure if the majority or the populace feel that way but certainly
the vast majority of my co-workers do and I like to think they are
intelligent people.
Finding a problem is easy. Fiding a good solution to the problem is
harder. I have no solutions at this point in time and if I did, someone
would not be happy (see kitchen example above).
Cronyism on Capitol Hill has been around since before I was born and it
will likely continue.
When Jane Byrne was mayor of Chicago there was a horrific snow storm and
because Chicago had not had a big snow in many a year, the equipment was in
less than 100% readiness. As a matter of fact it was woefully lacking in
readiness. One problem led to another and before it was over she would
never be Mayor again.
I hope the democrats choose a good candidate for president this next time
around. I assure of one thing. If an election were to be held and the two
names on the ballot were George Bush and Hillary Clinton, I would have to
vote for George. I refuse to vote for a bitter, pissed off bitch (see
kitchen example above).
I am going to go riding this evening. No place in particular. Just me and
my sweetie. I am going to cruise some of the backroads around here. There
are some nice twisty roads around here. Nothing tremendous. Just plain
nice easy riding.
