Try to be fair, Tom. What was it that I said in my post today that
deserved Carl's or Julian's responses? It seems like they are ready to
launch at any moment, and it wouldn't matter if my post included nothing
but quotations from friggin' Willie Shakespeare.

I am fair , hell I go to great length's to be fair, to me! ;-) I admit, if
not somewhat grudgingly, you have backed it off a notch or two of late and
it hasn't gone unnoticed here at Shuttle(no vacancy) Launch insanity.
Ya'know, I realize it's the long 4th weekend, but when I can't find a
parking spot for my bike at the local shithole beer and oyster joint at
midnight, well, enough already! I'm seriously thinking about bailing from
the beach, between the blue hairs and the tourist the place is changin'.
It's always something around here. Sorry, took a tangent..

Bond wouldn't dare dis Shakespeare, the home office would kick his arse for
that! Though if you actually did, Carl and I would come for yours... ;)

I mean, it's like,
"Well, I didn't actually read it, but he MUST have said something..." I
would challenge Carl to go through my race post and critique it word for
word, and not only criticize but suggest what would have been a fair and
balanced way to write it. That way we'd have something to debate that's
actually about the racing instead of just lobbing insults. I would, that
is, but he probably either wouldn't bother or would do some smart-ass
thing to sidestep it. Bond, no way, he couldn't possibly be bothered...

Sadly, I think the tenor of a lot of the discussion's here have changed and
not for the better. I can't recall in years past that there was ever much
name calling and I for one found that refreshing if not completely opposed
to what passes for discussion in other parts of Usenet. I can't relate to
any world but mine and in my world if you're smart you only use that kind of
language *after* you've knocked the snot out of someone and they are on
their ass. Maybe some feel indestructible and safe behind a keyboard, but in
my world it doesn't work out like that, ever! I've been shot, stabbed,
sliced, kicked, broke every bone in both my hands, a couple in my face, at
one time or another, I stand 6'4", 230 and even though I have only one real
foot these days, and can see the dreaded double nickel comin' I can still
bench over 3 beans and *I* never play that shit. If I ever do, well, you get
my drift...
Bluntly, I submit that if using a keyboard to call someone an idiot, or
whatever just for their opinion is all you have in your toolbox, you might
be unarmed and maybe a coward too, those folks belong in
alt.rec.hidebehindmykeyboard and maybe not RMR. That's just my opinion and
probably a smelly one at that... BTW, this was not directed at anyone in
particular, though if the shoe fits....

As far as Pab goes, he had no dog in this fight and he should have been
glad of it, but for some unknown reason he choose to drive around in a
war zone unarmed and ended up just more collateral damage. Now if you
want, or need to finish him off, go for it, but I'm gonna leave him
alone, as it appears he may be having an issue, or two of late. Besides,
he gonna buy me Dinner and drinks fairly soon...

Yeah, enjoy your dinner with the guy who thinks you're a "village idiot".
Me, I'd rather eat my riding boots...

Heh, read it again. I said he was buyin' and even though it's lookin' pretty
good, it's not for certain, but I didn't say anything about sharin'! But it
doesn't matter anyway, I think Ol Pab's got an issue, either that or he
needs to back off the Latte's, whatever the case, he'll work it out...
