Glad he's OK. That's what is most important. Nothing else really matters.

Second in importance is getting him back on the bike. Don't let it scare
him more than it should. Just tell him it's a lesson in reality and he
can learn from it. Lots of kids his age think they are invulnerable, but
now your boy knows he's not. That's a good thing. He'll probably be a
much more careful rider now.

Third is getting a copy of the accident report so you know where the
driver of the car lives in order to go by at night and write curse words
in his lawn with vegetation killer.

I won't be doing the lawn killer.
Since they are Nigerian immigrants that could be interpreted as a hate
crime in this country.
Still, I have to say, they were among the nicest people I have ever met and
seemed genuinely concerned for his well being.I don't foresee any problems
and there are several witnesses.

He has already said he wants to get back on the bike as soon as he can,
even if he is still hurting.
