Quick Elite-3 report

Put 'em on a couple of weeks ago in preparation for a trip from California to Washington.

In various conditions ranging from dry heat to damp and cool, including rain, these tires impressed me. I was able to run my Ultra through wet sweepers at a speed I probably would have run if it had been dry.

One thing I had wondered about was answered yesterday. On my commute there is a stretch of sweepers on the west side of the tunnels on Hwy 24 coming down towards Oakland. These things are completely covered with rain grooves and I normally keep it about 65 or less because these things want to take control of my bike and I start to wobble at about that speed. Yesterday I was able to do these at 70+ mph with absolutely no sense of wobble.

I usually get about 10-11K out of the stock 402's, so if these tires come in better than that (which TL says they should), I think I've found my choice in tire.
