Sounds to me like environmental regulations are costing you money
theyre costing me money, theyre costing you money, theyre costing EVERYbody
money. for example, they blame refrigerants for depleting the ozone layer,
yet the atomic weight of chlorine (the "harmful" aspect of
refrigerants....thats an over-simplification but we will go with it for now)
is heavier than the atomic weight of oxygen yet somehow they claim it rises
above oxygen to deplete the ozone. chlorine based refrigerants were phased
out for the most part, replaced by non-cholorinated blends and guess
what...now even the non-chlorinated blends are depleting the ozone layer.
truth? dupont had a patent on r12 (used in car air conditioning until 1994)
and after it expired guess what....yup....bad for the environment so it has
to go away. dupont replaced it with r134a that they held a patent on.
well, guess what is happening now that the "environmentally friendly" r134a
patent is expired? thats right....its now being replaced because its no
longer safe enough for the environment. you can buy all of it you want at
walmart for $6...you dont even have to have EPA certification to buy it yet
suddenly its not safe enough for the environment and is being replaced. the
non-chlorinated r22 that your home air conditioner uses....guess what
happens in 2010? thats right, you wont be able to purchase r22 equipment
anymore. duponts new patented 410a is now safer for the environment and all
with the blessing of the EPA through duponts lobbied senators. call
horse*** all you want.....i guess its just coincidence that every time
dupont patents run out they discover the product was bad for the
environment.
Why??? I learned gun bluing in high school shop class......did the EPA
outlaw it????
i guess somewhere i failed to understand your recommendation. i thought you
were recommending i get my weapons tenifer treated. the EPA has outlawed
the chemicals used in the tenifer process and although many other finishes
are certainly durable, ive never found one truly as durable as tenifer.
